“This was shot at Maple Leaf Gardens in August of 1982 on the “Hot Space” tour. I was indifferent about going to the show as I didn’t think the Queen’s past couple of albums had lived up to their early work and my listening habits were running more towards punk and new wave. Freddie Mercury brought me back to full on fan that night. He was the best front man for a live act I have ever scene. Sadly this was his last appearance in Toronto as Queen stopped touring North America after 1982. I shot this photo early in the set and Freddie was working the crowd like this was the end of the show, not the start.”
