"I got a call that Albert Grossman, who'd managed the careers of Peter, Paul & Mary, Bob Dylan, The Band & Janis Joplin wanted me to shoot some pictures of his new discovery Linda Ronstadt. She was slightly nervous at first so I asked her to sit by the window and we chatted about this & that until she seemed more at ease. After an hour I'd shot 3 or 4 rolls of film while we'd chatted on. "O.K. We can do the pictures now," she said. Albert smiled at me and said, "It's done, those are the ones I want to use, when you were not aware of the camera and just being yourself."
