“On a chilly October 30th in 2016, I walk into Montreal's Club Soda about a minute before July Talk hit the stage. The only lens I have on hand is a 24-70mm and i'm stuck at the back of a very tight crowd with no photo pit to save me. The first three songs pass and I'm completely unsatisfied with my shots. I head to the balcony, disappointed. I watch the band play a few songs and I momentarily forget about my failures because July Talk are a wonder to watch. Suddenly, Peter Dreimanis starts making his way towards the crowd. I grab my camera thinking this could be interesting. Turns out it was. Sometimes you're in the right place at the right time, sometimes you're not; I got lucky that night."
