“Last year, in an attempt to avoid the ridiculous post-Glastonbury traffic, I stayed until late Monday. It was strange to watch that massive universe get dismantled and packed away. Full of dilapidated tents and chairs and strewn with limping revellers, the fields looked post-apocalyptic. People slowly collected what they could and trudged toward home, faces still painted. In the distance, workers began putting away the iconic Pyramid Stage until next year. Can’t wait!”
