"The 'Blond Ambition' tour had debuted internationally in mid-April in Japan. This project was in support of 'Like A Prayer' and was her 3rd tour since 'The Virgin' in 1985. I was commissioned by a French client to cover the launch in the US. Gauthier designed her stage costumes and she was now one of the most popular performers and style icons ever. Current photographs of Madonna were of great value. There were significant restrictions while shooting, not to mention the limited time but it was still a success. The next morning, I was on an early plane back to New York with the film, to process, edit and ship my selects to Paris the same day."
