“This shoot took place in Santa Rosa, a small town near Waits’ home in California. We took pictures in a Chinese diner and then he drove me around the area stopping at the old rail line to take pictures. This image is on the cover of Barney Hoskyns’ latest book on Waits, Low Side of the Road.”
