“I lined up for two days at Lamport Stadium waiting for tickets to go on sale for what was supposed to be the last Who concert ever. Crowd control broke down at the front of the line when the ticket windows opened but I managed to get third row seats on Pete Townsend’s side of the stage. The concert was December 17 1982 at Maple Leaf Gardens and was broadcast worldwide. I got this photo on the final song of the main set, at the end of Won’t Get Fooled Again. By this point in the show the band was in top gear and the energy in the Gardens was incredible. The Who were building towards what was supposed to be the last crescendo and we were all caught up in the moment.”
