“I was nineteen and this was one of my first large scale backstage concert experiences. Amongst his Grammy wins and other prestigious awards and accomplishments, Owuor is known as one of the most successful brass musicians of his generation. Being friends and making work of Owuor along with the whole Shark Face Gang allowed me to hang with them in an assortment of cities throughout all of North America. I have made a plethora of work for Owuor including drawings, paintings, and even custom shoes; this particular photo was the basis of a painting completed about six months prior to this photo being taken.”
