"A cold and snowy day on Primrose Hill for Elton’s first solo photoshoot after leaving Long John Baldrey’s band ‘Bluesology’ to persue a solo career. Actually this is part two of the shoot as the ones we did in my studio were rather ordinary as Elton seemed rather nervous and unsure of himself turning up in a suit, tie and ‘square’ attire suitable for a city businessman as opposed to the other artists I was photographing in their Technicoulour Psycodelic gear. So I took him outside and put him in this winter environment and one of the pictures was used as a poster for ‘Boarder Song’. A year or so later I was suprized and delighted when Elton showed me some recent pictures of him on stage in Los Angeles in a dazzeling outfit jumping in the air at the piano, what change from the shy piano player of our first shoot, he was extrovertly on his way to being a big star!"
