"'The River' tour provided my second opportunity to photograph Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band. Springsteen was a dominant rock and roll artist whose performance during 3 hour concerts confirmed it. If there is a harder working band in rock and roll, I've never seen them. During the fourth song of the set, 'Spirit In The Night,' Springsteen would jump into the audience and prove beyond a doubt that he was indeed the people's performer. His time on a venue floor with his Telecaster was emotional, dramatic, and upbeat for fans who often found themselves standing next to him. The looks on their faces were priceless."
