“While photographing the World Pride Toronto opening ceremonies at Nathan Phillips Square, I heard St. Vincent was playing a free show at Yonge-Dundas Square for NXNE. After taking photos of the opening ceremonies, I ran blocks and blocks to see if I could find a spot to shoot from because I didn’t havea media pass. I pulled out my telephoto lens, leaned over the side barricade beside the stage and startedshooting the jam-packed show. I was lucky to capture this smoky, moody image of St. Vincent.”
