"This photo often reminds me that patience is a virtue in tough lighting situations. No matter how much heavy backlighting and harsh blues can discourage a photographer, there are always moments where you can make it work. The elegance Cold Specks presents on stage pushed me to approach this shoot as if I was taking individual portraits. Focusing on the positioning of her body in relation to the lights allowed me to capture moments where the light fell gracefully on her face in what felt like total stillness"
