"This photo of Lauren Mayberry from CHVRCHES was taken during the band's set at NXNE 2018. I remember it being a blisteringly hot day in June, and while the photo pit was roomy, we were only limited to a small section of it, and all of the photographers were clawing at each other to get their shot. Despite the frustration and intensity of the crowds at Yonge-Dundas Square, their performance was uplifting and full of energy, which served as the best salve. This image in particular has a sense of balance to it, while the intensity of the colours seem to reflect the vibrancy and life that is CHVRCHES' live performances."
