"Billy Talent is a band that was always on my bucket list to shoot. They played in Hamilton, Ontario on June 3rd, 2017 at the Tim Hortons field, and they did not disappoint. They were high energy, with many high jumps and screams, but it was the calmness that I caught in this shot that I found interesting. Ben stood there for 5 seconds, took in the crowd that was singing along with him, staring back at them, and then he leaped back with a jump and continued on the performance. During this show, he also wore a jean vest in tribute to Gord Downie from The Tragically Hip. You can see Gord’s name written on his left breast pocket."
